OSMP Prairie Dog Colonies

Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) maps the perimeter of all active prairie dog colonies each fall. This dataset contains OSMP and BCPOS data since 1996 CLIPPED to OSMP lands only.

This includes Jointly owned properties and colonies mapped on easements. To query out a specific year please use a definition query similar to “Year” = 2013.

This dataset is located in our GIS data portal which gives you access to the most current and up-to-date data possible. Through the interface, you can download the full dataset or a filtered dataset in three formats: CSV, KML, and Shapefile. If you want to connect to the data via a URL, you can find the REST or GeoJSON endpoint. The interface allows you to interact and visualize the data before downloading it.
